Thank you everyone who donated to the "Recipes for a Cure" cookbook--it will be available for purchase in November with net proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Thanks to some very generous designers it will also include free charts--some out-of-print, some previously released and some brand new!


2009 Silent Auction for Breast Cancer Research

Our 12th Annual Silent Auction for Breast Cancer Research was on Saturday November 21, 2009 at the Woodbridge Lake Clubhouse. Our goal this year, as it has been each year, was to surpass the previous year's total--that meant we needed to raise more than $15,000+. Did we reach our goal? Let's roll up the tote board (drum roll)--

$20,022.00

Yes, that's right, over $20,000 in donations was sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as a result of this year's Silent Auction for Breast Cancer Research. Thank you, all of you, for making this year's effort such a record-setter. The BCRF, where a minimum of 85 cents of every dollar donated goes to research and awareness programs, has as its mission what motivates all of us: to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. The notes accompanying your donations are so compelling, with stories of loved ones in whose honor you donate. So many of us have been touched by the ravages of this disease, and we can only hope that our daughters and granddaughters can be spared the agony. Thank you.
